Caitlin Gossage: Certainly! I began my career at a prominent firm in Toronto right after completing my degree in law. From the very start, I found myself drawn to the regulatory aspect of the industry. Understanding the intricate web of the rules and integrating those within the business operations came naturally to me, and I was fascinated by the importance of ensuring adherence to regulations in the financial services landscape. This interest led me to specialise in asset management compliance, and over time, I honed my skills and expertise in this field.

Caitlin Gossage: Astrong compliance framework is the foundation of a successful asset management operation. Knowing that my work directly contributes to maintaining the integrity of the financial markets and protecting investors motivates me every day. My passion for excellence stems from a sense of responsibility to uphold the highest standards, ensuring that the firm and its clients can navigate the complex regulatory landscape with confidence.

Caitlin Gossage: Like any career path, I encountered my fair share of challenges. One of the primary challenges was staying ahead of the constantly evolving regulatory landscape. Regulations change, and new ones are introduced regularly, so it’s crucial to remain agile and adapt quickly. To overcome this, I invested time in continuous learning and staying updated through industry conferences, networking and engaging with regulatory authorities. Embracing change and fostering a culture of compliance within the organisation were also essential to overcoming challenges effectively.
