Ajin: Demi-Human is a renowned Japanese supernatural anime television series that is based on the manga series of the same time. The series is written by Gamon Sakiri and it is illustrated by Tsuina Miura. The manga series was published first on March 7, 2012. The series was quite popular and was an instant success.
The plans to convert the series into an anime film were made public in January 2015. The trilogy consisted of Ajin Part 1: Shoudou, Ajin Part 2: Shoutotsu, and Ajin Part 3: Shougeki. The first part was released on November 27, 2015, the second part was released on May 6, 2015, and the third part was released on September 23, 2016.
The three parts of the series were extremely loved and welcomed by fans. The fans of the show have been waiting since then to hear the news about the third season.

The release date of Ajin Season 3
The Ajin season 2 was released in October 2016 and it continued to run through December. The series was also followed by a special episode which was an original video animation(OVA). The OVA was released in April 2017. Since then a couple of years have passed but the fans have not heard any news about the release of the third season.
The Polygon pictures are tight-lipped about the matter that has further added to the curiosity of fans. People are getting tired as they have been waiting for a long time. They want the wait to end now with a confirmed piece of news.
One problem was that the second season did not end as per expectations. It deviated from the manga. This is how it differed from season one. Season one tightly walked on the storyline but season two did not do that. There are rumors that the creators of the series have lost confidence in the manga to produce the series.
This may be one of the reasons for the delay. Another reason for the delay that is being rumored is the pandemic of COVID-19. The pandemic has put off most of the movies and television series. There are many characters in the series however there are four major characters that are worth-discussing. The protagonist of the series is Ken Nagai whom Mamora Miyano gave the voice. Hochu Otsuka gave voice to Sato while Yoshimasa gave voice to Kaito. The fourth major character of the series is Nakano whom Jun Fukuyama gave voice to.
Kei Nagai is the lead character who dies in the series in a car accident. He realizes that he has turned into an Ajin. Kaito is his close friend who helps him escape from the police. Nakano is also an Ajin who teams up with Kei to counter Sato. Sato is the leader of the pro-Ajin.
There is another interesting character in the series, which is named Yu Tosaki. Tosaki heads the Ajin Research that falls under the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare. Izumi Shimomura assists Tosaki. Season 3 may have new characters and a new cast to give them a voice as well.

The plot of Ajin: Demi-Human Season 3
The series is a brilliantly organized fantasy story. It is based on about 17 years before the current time. The immortal soldiers are popularly known as divine warriors that are spread on African battlefields. The soldiers get information about the demi-humans or Ajins as the creators to name them. In a matter of no time, they gain knowledge about the greatest discoveries of mankind.
After a few years, the governments of the world realize that they pose a grave threat to mankind. Sensing the threat, they devise a plan to counter the same. They start hunting the Ajins down. Kei Nagai becomes the center of the show when the countermeasure is put into action. Nagai is a school student who is unaware of the developments that have been happening around the world.
Nagai was an ambitious person and he wants to become a doctor. He lived a simple yet luxurious life. He got to know about the Ajins from the school syllabus. All his class fellows also knew about the Ajins.
Nagai realized how problematic the Ajins are for humans however he did not have an interest in the Ajins outside of the class until one day he became a victim of a car accident when he was on the way back from a convenience store. The accident was so deadly that it could take his life. However, he miraculously survives the crash.
His survival turned out to be bad luck for him as the witnesses labeled Nagai as an Ajin. The news spread in no time. The bounty hunters and government officials went after him. He struggled to free himself from the clutches of the government. Soon, he realized how dangerous it was to survive as an Ajin in a world that was dominated by humans.
Finally, he joins an anarchist Ajin group that was always looking out to take revenge from the humans. However, he is caught in a dilemma of returning to humanity or staying with his Ajin comrades. There is no news about how the plot will unfold. Season 3 will most likely take the story from here.
