Garrett Myles Bridges: A Few Things To Know

Garrett Myles Bridges was the son of Lloyd Bridges and brother of Beau, Jeff, and Cindy Bridges. He was born on 14 June 1948 but died on 3 August 1948 due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Garrett’s father was a film, stage, and television actor who appeared in more than 150 feature films. Lloyd Bridges got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994.

Garrett’s brothers, Beau Bridges and Jeff Bridges, followed their father’s footsteps and have had successful careers as actors. They have both won several awards over the years.

Garrett Myles Siblings

The first sibling of Garrettt Myles is Lloyd Vernet “Beau” Bridges III, born 9 December 1941. He’s an actor and director. Like his father, Beau got awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003 and several awards, including Emmy, Golden Globe, and Grammy Awards. He is the father of 5, including Jordan Bridges, another actor in the family.

Jeffrey Leon Bridges is another of Garrettt’s famous brothers. He was born on 4 December 1949. He is known for the versatility in his career of over seven decades. He won an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. He has three children.

The last sibling of Garrettt is his artist sister Lucinda Louise Bridges, born in October 1953.

Garrettt Myles Parents

Llyod Vernet Bridges Jr. started his career as a contract performer for Columbia Pictures, where he appeared in films such as Sahara, A Walk in the Sun, Little Big Horn, and High Noon. He was in the television show Sea Hunt from 1958 to 1961. By the end of his career, Bridges had demonstrated his comic talent in parody films such as Airplane!, Hot Shots!, and Jane Austen’s Mafia! Some of his honors include being a two-time Emmy Award nominee. On 1 February 1994, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Bridges and Dorothy Bridges met in his fraternity and married in 1938 in New York City. Dorothy and Lloyd exchanged their vows again on their 50th wedding anniversary. On 10 March 1998, Bridges died of natural causes, aged 85.

Dorothy Louise Bridges was a poet and actress, the matriarch of an acting family. She was at times credited as Dorothy Dean. Bridges occasionally returned to acting throughout her life, especially in roles where she could work with her family members. Some of the films she appeared in alongside her family include Sea Hunt, The Thanksgiving Promise, See You in the Morning and Secret Sins of the Father.

Bridges introduced her children to the acting profession. As their first drama teacher, she’d encourage them to pretend for an hour each day, and that’s how her two sons ended up growing into the acting industry. Her daughter is an artist.

On 16 February 200, Dorothy died of natural causes, aged 93.
