Il Volo is one of famous Italian opera boy-band. The band is consist of three boys Gianluca Ginoble, Ignazio Boschetto and Piero Barone. The band is unique in its own ways as before they debut they are competitor in a singing talent show in ”Ti lascio una canzone” broadcast by Rei. They made their debut in episode by singing O sole mio as trio. Their voice are perfect for classical opera with modern touch that attract the people toward their music.
When is competition ended the trio decided to stay together and continue their career together by the name The Tryo but than it change many time, but finally the trio end up having their group named as Il Volo.

Gianluca Ginoble
Gianluca Ginoble was born in Italian 1995. he is a member of one of Italian famous
boy-band and is well-known for his beautiful voice. He is the son of Ercole Ginoble. He is very fond of singing from his childhood as at the age of three, he start singing in his town with the help of his grandfather. As he stated to grown not only he participated in many musical shows and competition. He won some of them but gain praise in each of them. In 2009 he participated in a TV show called ”Ti lascio una canzone” and won the show by singing song called calm sea of the night. He is baritone as his voice is soft but can a tenor when high notes are required. In Rei broadcasting, he meet with his other band members and later formed the band.
Ignazio Boschetto
Ignazio Boschetto is a talented Italian singer, writer and composer born in Sicily 1994. He is the son of Vito Boschetto and Caterina Licari. He liked singing since he was a child and at the age of three he surprised his parents by singing “La Donna è mobile”, his parents were very happy after seeing his passion for singing. During his studies, he liked to keep singing and participated in many musical shows. His voice is warm but strong as he is a tenor. Ignazio gained his fame by singing in musicals and came to limelight in 2007. In 2009 he took part in Rei broadcasting and gained huge recognition. He met with his other members there and after competition, they decided to become a band.
Piero Barone
Piero Barone is one of the most hardworking singers, born in Naro, Sicily in 1993. Piero belongs to normal family with no artistic background as he is the son of Gaetano Barone who is a mechanic. Piero became related to music with the help of his grandfather who is a blind musician. His grandfather wrote him a song and asked him to sing it. After hearing it , he was fully amazed by his voice. He continues to sing at family functions and gain much praise from them. His family helped him in pursuing his career in singing. He sang many songs at weddings and also became part of the school choir. Just like his band members, he also participated in many school musicals. He is a tenor just like Ignazio and can make long notes without breathing. He continued learning music until the competition which led them to forming the band.
Career Beginning
In the talent show the trio work as solo artists and but thanks to Roberto Cenci who is the director and creator the the show that he had decided to put the trio together because he think that their unique voice will pull more if put together. When that episode aired, they made it a hit and came into view of many singers, producers and writers, one of them is the Italian producer Tony Renis who seem to be very much impressed by the trio. Tony made a few calls and decided to meet and talk to their families because they were still teenage. The families decided to put their trust in Tony and with some help from Geffen Record the trio was offered a recording deal. Thus the beginning of the first Italian group under an American label. They released their first album with the help of Universal group in Nov 2010 as they named it after their band.
Achievements
The band released their first album Il Volo which consists of international covers. They made it to the billboard with the single O sole mio. They were also nominated for many awards for this album. In 2012 the band again released their second album we are love and made it to first position in billboards and was awarded with Latin artist of the year award. As their success continue to increase they slowly and also steadily made it to top of iTunes.
Even if they are Italian artist, they decided to never let language be the barrier but their music and people. They release various version of their album like in Spanish English Latin and Italian and many more. They also tribute their album for 90 singer “the three tenor” called Nessun Dorma. Even in a state of health crisis like COVID they connect to the world with their music and convey their message about health.
