Medici Recap

In season 1, it started in 1429 in Florence where Giovanni de’ Medici represented one of the most important political forces of Signoria. Giovanni is a rich banker and plans to expand the power of his family by agreeing with the Church of Rome. And then 20 years later, Giovanni is murdered mysteriously. Cosimo and Lorenzo began a secret investigation.

In season 2, after the events of the first season, you get to see that Jacopo Pazzi and Francesco teamed up with the Pope against the Medicis. The newly found allies planned a conspiracy that would execute Giuliano and Lorenzo.

In season 3, the story picks up after the event of the finale of season 2. Jacopo Pazzi and his allies killed Guiliano. Guiliano’s death made Lorenzo lose faith in God. Lorenzo struggled to avenge his brother, his revenge on his brother’s murderers, to salvage the legacy of his family and Florence from General Riario.
