The world of anime is a very vast world of imagination where everything is considered possible and doable. If you are a person who is a fan of animated series, then I’m pretty sure that Mob Psycho is one of the series you have already seen.
So for the people who do not know, Mob Psycho is a movie based on a Japanese boy who got the rare powers of being a psychic. Just to let you know, it doesn’t revolve on just that but it’s actually more. Look into it and maybe you’ll see what I’m saying.
Mob Psycho has already 2 seasons on air, and due to its demand and people’s acknowledgement on the movie, both of the seasons had become a huge hit.
What is Mob Psycho 100?
So basically, Mob Psycho 100 is a japanese manga series which is written and illustrated by ONE. The series revolves around a young boy, Shigeo Kageyama who is an average middle school boy, known by many as Mob, which means Mobu, which defines as “background character” for having a feature of lacking a sense of presence.
Although Mob looks like someone who you can’t trust with due to his inconspicuous looks, Mob is actually a very powerful esper (a person with psychic powers). The movie shows that Mob is a person who constantly lives under an emotional shackle for the reason that he might lose control and release the immense power hiding inside him. Mob works under a con-man, Reigen Arataka, who proclaimed himself as a psychic.
Mob only wants to live a normal life like any other middle schooler. However, due to his immense power, more and more people are attracted to him and trouble keeps on haunting him.
When will Mob Psycho 100 premiere?
For the people who haven’t watched Mob Psycho yet, careful, spoilers are below. So if you haven’t watched it yet, you still have a long time to watch the two seasons before April of 2022.
So, for the other folks who have watched Mob Psycho already, we all know that the ending episode of Season 2 ended with Mob having all his powers gone and is already considered by people around him weak.
So for the upcoming season, it is more likely to be the return of the characters introduced already like Dimple, Teruki Hanazawa, and Reign Arataka. It is said that Haruki Amakusa, a well-built person, will be joining the series. Shou Suzuki and even Ritsu Kageyama are most likely to be in the series again. So it is expected that the old cast will be reprising their roles in Mob Psycho 100 season 3.
It was expected that Mob Psycho season 3 would be released in Japan in 2021. However, due to the world situation, it was postponed. However, good news though, if everything goes well and if the current situation of the world gets better, Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 will arrive April of 2022.
Everything is actually in place, it’s just that the prevailing pandemic due to Covid-19 made the release a little longer. We all know that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the global entertainment industry had been shattered slowly with an unfathomable financial loss. If you haven’t know, most of the tv series, might it be animated or not, were postponed and halted for an indefinite time period.
Mob Psycho became a really huge hit and had even over 1.6 million copies revolving around as of July 2016. The manga even won the 62nd Shogakukan Manga Award in the shonen category. Taking all the awards and hype it got, it was then stated that the plan of making a third season was concluded.
Although the official statement that a third season is coming, Mob Psycho season 3 doesn’t have an official release date and we still have to wait for an official announcement on their developers and producers.
