G.B. Joyce wrote a bestselling novel on Detectives, named The Code, and years later, Tim Kilby and Shelley Eriksen came up with an idea to turn it into a television show. Originally, the show was named the same as the novel (The Code), but later, the makers of the show decided to name it “Private eyes”.
The story revolves around the lives and everyday experiences of Matthew Kevin and Angelina Susan. Angelina is initially the boss of Matthew, but later they become pi agency partners at Everette investigations when Angelina takes over the firm after the death of her father.
Matthew and Angelina are detectives who work together on different cases and get into situations that challenge them but tickle their audience and make them roll on the floor with laughter. These private investigators solve cases in Toronto. Ever since the fifth season of the show has gone off air, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of its sixth season. Plot:
The original series is a crime-solving procedural drama that consists of 10 mind-blowing episodes. In the series, the story follows the life of Matt Shade who was formerly a well-known professional hockey player whose character is played by Jason Priestley.
Matt’s life takes a deep turn when he drives towards it by deciding to team up with the fierce Police Officer Angie Everett whose character is played by the gorgeous Cindy Sampson. The duo, quite unlikely at first, manages to form an investigative powerhouse through their unlikely chemistry and coordination.
Throughout the journey, Matt Shade is forced to examine this change in his life and analyze and examine what he has become and what is becoming he desires. The ongoing episodes of the series are a series of the unlikely partnership of Matt and Angie investigating through levels of high stakes crimes in the various spheres including horse racing, fine dining, Toronto’s vibrant hip hop scenery, scandals in literature, magic clubs, and the list doesn’t have an end.
The debut episode of the series starts with Matt and Angie joining hands to form the most unexpected and seldom alliance to investigate the Case of his client who is a young athlete who gets in trouble due to unfortunate and ill circumstances.
