Appearance
Benimaru is an average-sized, well-built young man. He has wavy, black hair that falls in front of his face. He has fair skin and red eyes with a black dot at the center. But, his left eye had a white cross pupil.
His face is usually gloomy. He’s often seen in a black vest with a white shirt underneath. He puts his dark blue kimono on his left arm and tucks his Special Fire Force trousers on his boots.
He used to wrap a black jumper around his waist and wore fingerless gloves. If he’s not on a mission, he wears a black shirt topped with a black hakama. He wraps around a white belt and uses black boots.
Personality
Benimaru doesn’t like to work with others. He prefers to do his job alone. He only works with his brigade if forced to be in a group.
He’s ill-tempered and at times, doesn’t show respect to higher officers. He’s only concerned about Asakusa and doesn’t care about the rest of Tokyo. He acts on his own accord and doesn’t care about the emperor’s rules.
Despite his actions, Benimaru is an honest man. His vocal nature makes him sound rude sometimes. But, the citizens of Asakusa see his kindness even after destroying parts of the district while battling an infernal.
At first, Benimaru is hesitant in leading his brigade when Asakusa was first attacked. He wanted to step back and let another person be their leader. But, after his team’s encouragement, he took responsibility.
Benimaru loves Asakusa and its people so much. Overall, he’s nonchalant and very calm. However, he snaps when angered and destroys everything.
He loves to fight against worthy opponents and unleashes his superb skills. He’s also an idealist and prefers to be called by his family name.
However, despite caring less about other affairs, there’s one thing that he can’t stand: the insensitive faith of the Holy Sol. He doesn’t like the idea of blinding the human endeavor about faith.
As such, Benimaru is against the gods’ oppressive nature.
Background
Benimaru was an orphan adopted by Hibachi Shinmon. Hibachi needed an heir and had him under his custody. Benimaru learned the lai Shuto fighting style from Hibachi.
He went under rigid training. He often receives scolding because of his lack of self-confidence. But, he proved his worth. He became a member of the fire department and helped clear out infernals.
Abilities
Benimaru is known as “Asakusa’s king of Destruction.” No doubt that he’s the Special Fire Force’s most powerful officer. He holds tremendous power that doesn’t match even against the combined forces of some of his enemies.
His most famous act is defeating his doppelganger with a single touch. He’s also good at teaching students even in a short time. His skills surpassed Hibachi who’s a known powerful pyrokinetic.
Hand-to-hand combat
Benimaru’s hand-to-hand combat skills are good. His victory over Maki Oze is proof of his fighting skills in martial arts. Aside from his lai Shuto fighting style, Benimaru is also skilled in iaido martial arts.
Agility
Benimaru’s agility allows him to move extremely fast. His remarkable reflexes enable him to move in a blink of an eye. As such, he defeated his master’s doppelganger who’s very fast.
Benimaru moves so quickly that even Shinra’s Rapid technique is no match for him. This hypersonic movement shows how quick Benimaru is.
Powerful strength
Benimaru holds tremendous strength. His level of physical strength as a child could match his master’s strength. In some accounts, he restrained a grown man using his bare hands.
He unlocked Hysterical Strength permanently and knocked Arthur and Shinra simultaneously. His skills in martial arts and extreme level of physical strength make him a difficult enemy.
Durability
Benimaru is not only strong but also tough. His durability allows him to nullify Demon Infernals and Doppelgangers attacks completely. Fire attacks won’t even work for him because he can easily nullify them away.
Poison resistant
Benimaru can withstand a dose of poison that can easily kill large animals.
Pyrokinesis
Benimaru is a Second and Third Generation pyrokinetic. It means he can either make or control flames. His ability to control and produce flames makes him a powerful pyrokinetic.
He can make long-range projectiles with a destructive force. When faced with his doppelganger that has the power to destroy the entire planet, he defeats him instantly. It’s a clear display of how much power Benimaru has.
He can redirect and nullify any attacks that use pyrokinesis. He’s often compared to the god “Kagutsuchi” by Konro. His ability to imitate other pyrokinetic skills adds to his strength.
Even bullets do not match for him. Benimaru can redirect each bullet and control its speed. He can make powerful explosions that create a crimson-colored moon.
And if he’s fighting in hand-to-hand combat, he can make a blade of flames.
