Troyal Garth Brooks or is very well known as ‘Garth Brooks’ is an American professional songwriter and singer. He was born on February 7, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States.
His parents are Troyal Raymond Brooks, Jr., who is an oil company draftsman, and Colleen McElroy Carroll, an Irish country singer that has made songs with Capitol Records label and has made appearances on the Ozark Jubilee.
Garth has a sister named Kelly, although this was the second marriage of his parents, he also has four older half-siblings named Betsy, Jerry, Mike, and Jim.
His early exposure to music was influenced by his family. They would host a talent night every week at their home and all of them had to participate in singing, playing the instrument, and dancing. With this, Garth learned how to play the banjo and the guitar.
