T-Pain’s real name is Faheem Rasheed Najm and he was born on September 30, 1985. His parents are Aliyah Najm and Shasheem Najm. He was brought up in a Muslim family. His love for music was inspired by his father who was a rapper. At ten years old, he transformed his room into a music studio. He went to school in James S. Rickards High School. In 2004, he joined a rap group named Nappy Headz where Akon, a Senegalese singer, discovered him.
